Student Headshot FAQs
How much is a student headshot?
$149 for a 30-minute session, and that includes one retouched image you'll actually love. Need a couple of looks for LinkedIn and your applications? Additional retouched photos are $100 each, and you pick them right there with me.
What should I wear?
Whatever you'd wear to an interview in your field. Bring a couple of options if you're torn! There's a changing room and a few studio pieces if you want them. These are just guidelines though, so don't stress — we'll figure it out together.
I need this for grad school or residency applications. Can you help?
Yes — this is some of my favorite work. I've photographed a dental student for her school applications and a veterinary student who needed a clean, professional photo for her residency match. I spent 30 years in veterinary medicine before this, so when a vet or med student tells me what their program is looking for, I really get it. I'll make sure you look polished and like yourself.
How long does it take, and when do I get my photo?
The session is 30 minutes — plenty of time. Your retouched image comes back to you within a few business days, in multiple crops and sizes so it's ready for LinkedIn, your CV, and applications. On a deadline? Just tell me and I'll do my best to turn it around fast.
Do I get to see the photos before I leave?
You do! Everything comes up on the laptop as we go, so we adjust your hair, your posture, your jacket — whatever — right in the moment. You leave knowing exactly which image is yours. No waiting around wondering how it turned out.
Where's your studio?
My studio is in Wayne, right off Old Eagle School Road near the 202 corridor — easy from campus, King of Prussia, and the Main Line. Parking is simple and there are no stairs. Let me know if you need directions!
